My love affair with all things sweet began after a false start as a waitress at a 4star hotel in Harrogate. Returning to catering college to study pâtisserie, I soon realised this was where I belonged.
Once qualified, I quickly built up a dizzying CV working in Michelin starred restaurants in France, Switzerland and the UK. With lots of hard work and determination, I learnt how to produce decadent desserts, chocolates, viennoiserie and cakes.
Changing direction some years later, I made the move into food manufacturing creating tantalising desserts for Marks and Spencer and sumptuous ice cream for Thayer's Ice Cream
Having settled just outside Newport, in 2001 I decided to reconsider my career path, offering short, sharp, bursts of creativity on a freelance basis to the food manufacturing industry. This also gave me the opportunity to create delicious pâtisserie & chocolates to sell at my local Farmers Markets. Today it's the mainstay of the business and over the years I've built up a loyal following of customers at Usk & Abergavenny Farmers Markets.
I feel very privileged to have worked with some of the most outstanding professionals in the industry, and bring all the experience I've gained to my kitchen.
